Douglas, MA - July 15, 2016 - The Massachusetts Horsemen's Council hires MA native, Olivia MacDonald of OTM Photography for 2016 Social Media/Photography Internship.

MacDonald, 19, a student of Kendra Dickinson of Ravenwood Farm in Barre, MA has been a long time lover of equestrian photography. At just 19 year's of age, MacDonald owns and operates her own photography business here in MA.

"I love to capture the bond between the horse and rider. My goal is to capture those moments that you can cherish for a lifetime with a still shot," says MacDonald.

As an organization the MHC has been looking for ways to deliver on our mission to serve and promote the best interest of horsemen and horsewomen here in Massachusetts. While we are working on press releases of MHC winners at A-rated shows, we also felt that it was important to promote the winners at the 50+ day shows held in the bay state.

"It was actually our Marketing Strategy Intern, Riley Casey, who came up with the idea of hiring a photography intern for the MHC," said Carolyn Lavin, Director of the MHC Internship Program. "We recognized that we had a gap in being able to promote what is happening on the local circuit here in Massachusetts. We are excited to be able to bring more behind the scenes content to our Instagram account and thank Riley for her dedication to this internship program."

Olivia's focus as the photography intern will be traveling to one-day shows here in MA. She will be taking pictures of happenings at the show, MHC member accomplishments and the MHC medal winners. Olivia will be posting these pictures to the MHC Instagram account.
