MHC Internships

Do you have a passion for the equestrian sport as well as Marketing & Communications? Then the MHC Internship program is perfect for you! We offer a part-time summer and winter internships. As we are a non-for profit organization the internship is unfortunately unpaid. However we offer flexible hours where you work from home to allow you to seek paid summer jobs as well. We also offer the opportunity to grow and learn within Marketing to help you get the experience you will need to intern at big corporations.

Marketing Strategy Internship - Pleasure/Western Expansion


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Helping the MHC increase our engagement with the Pleasure/Western Community

  • Entrepreneurial in through to help us build out our communications and experience for members the Pleasure Classic

  • Creative in how we can better serve horsemen and horsewomen in the Pleasure/Western Disciplines.

  • Reliable as this is a work from home position. Must respond well to text, phone calls and email.

  • Presenting growth and membership improvement strategies to the Board of Directors.

The Ideal Candidate will bring:

  • At a minimum entering into their senior year of highschool.

  • Professionalism and maturity to receive feedback and deliver on time.

  • Good presentation skills as well as power point execution skills.

  • Willingness to execute on ideas that your have to improve the MHC Organization.

Public Relations (PR) Internship - Hunter/Jumper


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Attending a minimum of three (3) A-Rated Horse Shows in MA for the 2016 season (May - August).

  • Responsible for collecting the information on the MHC Medal winners. This includes having them sign an information release before writing the story.

  • Taking a picture of the winner and posting it to our Instagram Account.

  • Complete ownership of writing the press release on the rider then submitting it to the Internship Director for approval.

The Ideal Candidate will bring:

  • At a minimum entering into your junior year of high-school through a senior in college.

  • Access to travel as you will be required to drive to shows for coverage.

  • Access to a laptop and internet in order to write and send the press releases to the Internship Director for approval.

  • The ability to be quick and efficient to get the press releases turned around within 48 hours of the completion of the MHC Medal class.

  • Strong writing skills.
