MHC Scholarships

The Massachusetts Horsemen's Council is proud to offer three academic scholarships for higher education. Please see the information below on qualifications for and how to apply for these opportunities. Once we receive your application the average time to hear back from us is ~6-8 weeks. We will notify you via regular mail.

Sambuca Memorial Scholarship

$500

Are you pursuing a career in a veterinary area? Whether that be small or large animal, vet tech or a certain specialized area we want to support you.
You must also be a junior or adult whom has qualified and/or are competing in the 2016 MHC Finals.
The scholarship is donated by April Renzella in memory of her horse, Sambuca

Dorothy Potter College Scholarship

$1,000

$2,000 scholarship awarded yearly to an active junior or amateur who has been a member of the MHC in good standing for the past two years.
Eligible applicants must have graduated from high school and are currently attending a college or an equine - related trade school.
The $2,000 is paid directly to the school.

Board of Governors First-Year of College Scholarship

$1,000

$2,000 scholarship awarded yearly to a MHC junior member that is currently a high school senior and has been accepted to a college or equine related trade school.
The $2,000 is paid directly to the school.
