As of right now exhibitors will still need 10 points to qualify for the finals.

Petition to Resume Horse Shows in Massachusetts

June 15th, 2020

Dear Members,

We would like to encourage you to sign the petition below to allow horse shows (of all disciplines) to be allowed in the state of Massachusetts as part of phase 2/3 (July). We encourage our members, parents, spectators, etc. to sign this petition

It took 40,000 signatures for the golf community to have courses reopened. Right now we are just over 3,000 signatures.

Thank you for your consideration,

The MHC Board of Directors

COVID-19 March Announcement

March 24, 2020

Massachusetts Horsemen’s Council Members

Dear Members,

Effective immediately, as the status of the COVID -19 pandemic broadens, the Massachusetts Horsemen’s Council (MHC) has chosen to follow suit with United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) and New England Horsemen’s Council (NEHC) and ask that our members and affiliates postpone any horse shows until further notice. Any horse shows held during this time will not be recognized by MHC and points will not be counted.

We will evaluate the level of the pandemic and how it effects our members and horse showing regularly. Please look for updates posted to the MHC website (www.mahorsecouncil.com) and social media outlets.

We suggest, per Gov. Charlie Baker’s recommendations, to follow social distancing and non-participation in group gatherings greater than 10 people.

This pause to the Massachusetts spring horse show season may be inconvenient, however it is more important for us all to remember to be safe and to be responsible.

Thank you to our members for your continued support especially, through these times of uncertainty.

Stay well and be safe,

Joan Travers, President

Massachusetts Horsemen’s Council
