Did You Know the MHC Awards Scholarships to qualifying Members?

MASSACHUSETTS HORSEMEN’S COUNCIL, INC.
     Scholarship Policies

The MHC will award two (2) $1,000 scholarships annually to applicants who must be an active junior or senior member of the MHC in good standing for the past two (2) years.
Applicant must have their MHC Membership dues paid by May 1st of the current year's application!

Applicant must be one of the following:

Dorothy Potter Scholarship

  1. Have graduated from high school and be currently attending college OR an equine-related trade school

Board of Governors Scholarship 

  1. Be a senior in high school and accepted to a school of higher education

Applicant must show certification of a scholarship grade of at least 2.6 average or above for scholarship to be awarded, which shall be paid out after the applicant’s first semester has been completed.

The MHC Scholarship Committee, appointed by the President, will entertain, accept, and consider all applications for scholarship awards. Be duly noted that the awarding of any or all scholarships will be at the discretion of the above committee with approval of the President of the MHC.

The dead line for filing applications with the MHC will be as follows:

* June 1 for High School Seniors*
* December 1 for College Students *
